Christian Wood Explodes With Accusations in Heated Courtroom Showdown
Former NBA forward **Christian Wood** has ignited a dramatic legal battle after claiming a frightening incident at his Sherman Oaks home was not just a burglary attempt, but a direct threat to his life. In court filings, Wood alleges the November 5, 2025, episode involved a coordinated plot and has pointed fingers at his ex-girlfriend, influencer **Yasmine Lopez**, intensifying an already bitter custody dispute between the two.
According to Wood’s petition filed on November 19, 2025, the incident began with what he described as a suspicious pizza delivery. Shortly afterward, three masked men allegedly tried to force their way into his residence through a rear sliding door. Wood says he fired warning shots inside the home, prompting the intruders to flee. No injuries were reported, and law-enforcement records note that while the attempted entry was documented, no arrests were made.
In the same filing, Wood sought a temporary restraining order against Lopez, asking that she stay at least 100 yards away from him and their young son, Kobe Sean Wood. The court granted the temporary order and also awarded Wood temporary exclusive custody at that stage. He claims Lopez had prior knowledge of the incident and cited past conflicts and social-media activity as part of his argument. Lopez has firmly denied any involvement, stating she learned about the break-in only after it happened and emphasizing that police found no evidence connecting her to the event or questioning her as a suspect.
The alleged break-in unfolded against the backdrop of a long-running and tense legal fight over custody and protection orders. On December 12, 2025, Lopez responded by filing her own restraining-order request, accusing Wood of repeated physical and emotional abuse and seeking sole legal and physical custody of their son. Her filing references several alleged confrontations during and after their relationship.
Wood, meanwhile, has pointed to earlier incidents — including alleged property damage and prior disputes — to support his claims, and says he has since hired armed security due to ongoing safety concerns.
Both sides are scheduled to face off in court in mid-January, when a judge will weigh competing accounts and determine whether the temporary orders remain in place and how custody and safety issues will ultimately be resolved.
